Liposuction eliminates stubborn fat from areas that are difficult to target with diet and exercise. This surgical procedure removes localized fat with a thin hollow tube (cannula) inserted through several tiny incisions in the skin. The cannula is connected to a vacuum device that removes the excess fat with a suctioning technique, and the result is more slender and attractive body contours.
Benefits of Liposuction
- Removal fat from stubborn areas: sometimes it is very hard or impossible to remove fat from particular parts of the body just with diet and exercise. Liposuction removes that fat in one session.
- Minimal scarring: although liposuction is a surgical procedure, each incision is very small, just enough to fit a cannula to remove the fat.
- Minimal downtime: most people are back to their regular routine over the next few days after liposuction.
- Improved body shape and image. Clothing fits better, the areas of the body where fat was removed are less full and slimmer.
